Tesco Sourcing is the part of our business responsible for sourcing our home and clothing products from across the world. Set up in 1977, our headquarts are in Hong Kong and we have more that 300 colleagues working across Asia, the Indian Subcontinent and Europe.
Our teams plan where we source from and how, providing local insight and a central point for all operational activity in country involving our suppliers.
Our mission is to champion one compliant, global supply base ensuring Tesco consciously sources and develops great products at the right price and delivers on time for customers. We have a wide range of roles, with the majority of our team working as part of the Group Product function either in the Commercial team, partnering our supply base; the Technical team, ensuring both the quality and safety of our products and factories; or the Responsible Sourcing team, who maintain our high ethical standards across the supply base. To support our operation, we have colleagues working in People (HR), Security & Risk, Finance and Technology.
We are proud to be a diverse and multinational workforce, with colleagues from 23 different nations. Our hubs are based in China, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Poland and Turkey.
Commercial teams are responsible for sourcing and developing products: finding the best sources, managing relationships with a dynamic supply base and partnering with country buying teams to source, negotiate and deliver exciting new product ranges from the best suppliers, at the right price and with on time delivery.
